Introduction

The Control Panel provides a complete suite of business applications that will empower your company — giving you the ability to manage every aspect of your online presence through one intuitive interface. Using the applications contained in the Control Panel, they can build websites, operate an online store, manage security, build blogs, photo albums, chat systems and much more.

Navigation

The Control Panel navigation provides icons and page elements that will help you design, build and promote your website, as well as displaying and managing your account.

Task Bar

The Task Bar provides access to the Control Panel, Webmail, Message Center and Account Information.

Main Menu Bar

The Main Menu Bar provides links, which introduce your products, giving you quick and easy access to your services and support.

Information Panels

Information Panels are used to display information along the left and right side of the site. The information displayed within these Panels will vary depending on what page you visiting. For example, when you are on the Home page, you can access the Account Info and What’s Next Panels; however, when you are on the Manage Websites page, the displayed is the Sub Menu options.
The Information Panels include the following:

  • Welcome – provides a tour on managing your services.
  • What’s Next – provides activity suggestions.
  • Account Info – displays account information with edit option.
  • Support – provides contact methods and information.
  • Helpful Tips – provides information about applications and services.
  • Website and Domain Info – Allows you to view your service and usage details at a glance or click Manage Account to review your account info.

Sections

Sections are used to highlight content between the Panels.

Recent Activity

All recent activity is displayed here, such as your last-opened applications or edits made to your profile.

New Messages

Notifications are displayed when there are new messages on your account.

Account Activity

Displays account information and provides a link to manage account and services.

Currently Managing

This section displays the domain for which you are currently managing. You can also expand or collapse the view of available applications.

Applications

Here you will see all applications you have purchased, organized by their purpose. Each category can expand to display all applications associated with that category.

Launching an Application

Applications are launched from the Control Panel and open in a new window.

  • To launch an application, hover over the application that you want to launch and click Launch.

Home

The Home page provides general information about your account, such as suggested hints to improve your overall experience. This page also provides a link to the Manage Account and support interface. You can also access the Manage Websites and Promote and Productivity pages. For more information about Manage Websites, see the Manage Websites section. For more information about Promote and Productivity, see the Promote and Productivity section.

Account Information

The Account Information section is displayed on the Home page. You can edit this information by clicking the Manage Account. TO EDIT PERSONAL DETAILS:

  1. On the Home page, click Manage Account.
  2. In the Personal Details section, click Edit and modify the fields, as required.
  3. Click Save.

  TO EDIT THE USERNAME/EMAIL ADDRESS:

  1. On the Home page, click Manage Account.
  2. In the Username/Email Address section, click Edit and modify the fields, as required.
  3. Click Save.

TO EDIT THE PASSWORD:

  1. On the Home page, click Manage Account.
  2. In the Password section, click Edit and enter your new password..
  3. Click Save.

Manage Websites

The Manage Websites section of the Control Panel categorises applications that are available. The categories include the following:

  • Design
  • Website Tools
  • Ecommerce
  • SEO and Analytics
  • Advanced Tools
  • Website Add-Ons

Design

The Design Category provides a list of applications to assist in the building of your website.

EasySiteWizard Pro

EasySiteWizard Pro is an intuitive website builder that allows you to easily design, edit and maintain your own website. WordPress Installer

WordPress is an easy-to-use weblog system, providing numerous features like categories, ratings, as well as plugins installation. This installer application will easily install the WordPress tool to a directory that you specify within your web services account.

Template Gallery

Advanced Template Manager offers a stunning collection of professionally designed website templates – created for users and developers who demand a sophisticated and highly customized business site – without the high-end site designer’s price tag. You can choose from thousands of templates, all of which can be downloaded from your WebsiteOS interface quickly and easily. These media-rich templates incorporate the latest design enhancements (like Flash) and are compatible with popular HTML editing tools such as FrontPage® and Dreamweaver, making it easy for you to personalize the site to your needs.

Website Tools

Website Tools provides applications that will assist in supporting your website. For example, you can monitor your web storage space, set up and manage FTP access, analyse website status, or restore website content.

File Manager Pro

File Manager Pro allows you to to take full control of your website files. It is a safe alternative to full shell access. You can copy, move, delete, rename and edit files, create and remove directories, change file permissions, and upload files from your local computer to the server.

FTP Manager

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a UNIX service that has become an essential feature of the Internet. FTP is a communications protocol that allows for easy, efficient, and accurate transfer of files from computer to computer across a network or, in this case, from our end users computer (local location) across the Internet to a web server (remote location).

Ecommerce

The Ecommerce section provides applications that will assist with the online presence of your website. For example, you can build and manage an online store, set up and maintain an osCommerce store, or encrypt confidential data, such credit card numbers and logins.

StoreCreator

StoreCreator allows you to create, manage and market your store online. It has been developed to automate the installation process of Shopping Cart. Shopping Cart is an easy-to-use weblog system, providing numerous features like categories, ratings, as well as plugins installation.

Email

EasyMail Setup

EasyMail Setup allows you to create, delete, and manage email accounts. You can also create alias accounts, which are account names that have no storage space and must forward to another address. Spam filtering, Autoresponders, and a catch-all email address can also be configured.

Domains

DNS Manager

DNS Manager allows users to edit their domain’s zone file, including A (address) records, CNAME (canonical name) records and MX (mail exchange) records.

SEO and Analytics

The SEO and Analytics section provides applications that help you gather statistical data about your website. For example, you can optimize and submit your website to search engines, or track your website traffic.

Search engine optimization (SEO) for websites is critical to the success of any online business. Search engines such as Google and Yahoo!locate and list “optimized sites” ahead of non-optimized sites when conducting their searches. EasySiteOptimizer helps you improve your site’s search ranking performance. Useful functions include: keyword creation; site analysis; submission to popular search engines; and search rank position reporting. Advanced Tools

The Advanced Tools section provides applications that assist in security and management of your website. For example, you can manage your SQL databases, secure files and folders, access raw server log files, and determine what versions of PHP you are running.

Log Manager

The Log Manager allows the end user to obtain raw server logs for their site activity and traffic. Activity Logs are enabled by default. End users can view and/or delete, print, download, and date their log files. They may disable logging altogether to conserve their disk space. Note: By disabling Activity Logs, Web Stats will only display results of the 12 most recent logs available.

Windows Services

The Windows Services Enabler allows the use of ASP, ASP.net, ColdFusion and ColdFusion MX files on the end users domain. Our systems will process these files correctly only after enabling the appropriate service on the domain. If the end user has an SSL certificate installed on their domain, secure services can also be enabled using the Windows™ Services Enabler.

The Promote and Productivity section provides applications that will assist with the online presence of your website.

Online Marketing

The Online Marketing section provides applications that assist with your online presence. For example, you can submit your website to search engines.

Online Fax

Online Fax allows you to send and receive faxes in email format, access your faxes from a mobile device or an email client. With Internet access, Online Fax allows you to send faxes without using a fax machine or a second phone line from anywhere in North America.

Support

The Support page allows you to view your support information and also provides a message center.

Contact Info

The Contact Info page provides phone numbers and details about the hours of operation. This page also provides the option to send an email using an online form

Messages

Incoming email messages are stored in the Message Center. Messages can be marked as read or unread or they can be deleted.
