To start using Online Fax, click "Begin" at "Welcome to Online Fax" splash screen.
Getting started with Online Fax
When you first launch Online Fax, the “Getting Started with Online Fax” page is loaded; this page may be disabled by checking "do not show me this again". If disabled, the next time you open the control panel you will be directed to the "Configure Fax to Email" page, which allows you to configure your fax user accounts to send and receive faxes. The Navigation Bar to the top-right remains static throughout all of Online Fax and you will be able to navigate to whichever section you wish by clicking on the menu options.
Configuring Online Fax
The “Configure Online Fax” wizard (located in the navigation bar) provides the list of Online Fax accounts for this domain, their plan names and their assigned toll free fax number for each user. the first time you run afax, you should see at least one unassigned account. An unassigned account is a placeholder for a Online Fax plan that you have purchased. Unassigned accounts have not yet been provided a fax phone number or an email address to send incoming faxes to.
From the list on the left, select the account you want to configure and click the inspection icon.
If you have selected an unassigned account, you must enter a valid email address in the field provided. You can use any email address you like. You will also need to enter in a password. This is the login password you will use when you are accessing the Online Fax application. After entering this information, click "apply". Please note that you will not be able to change the email address once it has been applied; you will only be able to change the login password. A fax number will be assigned to the account shortly after you have clicked "apply".
If you have selected an assigned account, you will only be able to change the login password.
You can view account fax usage by clicking on the "Fax usage" button in the navigation bar. The fax usage interface lists usage details (number of pages sent and received) for each account in a given month. You can change the month being viewed by using the drop-down menu at the top of the list.
Please note that both incoming and outgoing faxes count towards your monthly usage limit. If an account exceeds its monthly limit, a per-page overage fee will apply.
